The final proposal of the Catalyst ERTE has been to SOCIALIZE the information collected throughout its investigation around the questions:

What is done with the wool of the Collserola sheep?

What can be done with this wool and resource?

The motivation is that the socialization can serve as a motor to activate usage chains of a resource that is currently being discarded and to promote the creation of relationship networks.

It is a booklet that includes six cards dealing with: uses that can be given to the wool, information about where to find wool in Collserola (Barcelona), its fair price, indications about its transport, advice on how to wash it and – last but not least– details about those who provided to us the information contained in the cards.

This publication has been printed in an edition of 200 copies that have been distributed, together with a bag with wool from the Collserola sheep, among Civic Centers of Barcelona, ​​consumer cooperatives, entities and organizations linked to agroecology, wool shops, artisans and other professionals who make or could make use of this material, educational centers, cultural projects for social transformation, art centers, and people who have shown interest in having this book.

The distribution has been done mainly in Barcelona and the metropolitan area, but it has also spread to other places in Catalonia and at the state level.

In Barcelona, the distribution has been done in collaboration with Les Mercedes, who have been one of the core agents of the Catalyst ERTE. They are an ethical, sustainable and inclusive courier service that seeks to bring a gender perspective to the delivery and courier sector through an intersectional feminist approach. Les Mercedes has played a key role in imagining a usage chain of wool that emphasises short circuits and reduced environmental impact, bringing a most needed expertise in the distribution field.
