One of the central parts of the Catalyst Circlusion is how to get-together and carefully host other people and collectives.

In June 2021, that is while Covid-19 pandemic and its restrictions regarding the gathering of people, we celebrate the Circlusion Meeting, as a physical three-days encounter with representatives of collectives from Belgium and Spain. With the desire for this meeting to be a care-driven space, after a time marked by social distancing, a protocol was drawn up to serve as a tool to ensure that all the people participating in the meeting would be attended and taken cared of under ‘safe conditions’.

The protocol for the Circlusion Meeting was created in collaboration with CO-RPUS, which was, at that moment, one of the research groups of La Escocesa art center.

The protocol covers the circumstances prior to the trip, the different possibilities of displacement and the arrival at the meeting place.

The protocol for the Circlusion Meeting was approached and proposed from the idea of ritualization and the performativity of care practices, being aware of the relationship between ‘care’ and ‘set of norms’.

In this way, the complete protocol is developed as Rituals and Care. Before – During – After Session.
