FUNCTION IN TE( N ) CUIDADO:
The right to freedom of assembly and protest was used to be able to safely invite and gather dissident, racialized and allied bodies in a collective artistic action that took place in public space, in the context of the ‘state of alarm’ (one of the three legal categories for emergency situations as stated in the Spanish Constitution) caused by the COVID-19 pandemic during 2020. By implementing this right, many were able to participate in the action, when restrictions and social distancing ‘did not allow’ to do so. It also allowed to open and re-occupy community spaces for coexistence.
