Catalysts start from the need and motivation to weave communicative ties of cooperation between three spheres: artistic and cultural practice, academic research, social-subaltern criticism and forms of citizenship. By doing so, the aim is to question what constitutes a neighborhood beyond a specific geographic and administrative territory to imagine, trace and configure other possible neighborhood-structures’ based on support and care networks.

Through a program of activities based on collaborative investigations and actions, each Catalyst proposes the intersection of knowledge around four conceptual and practical axes of research and the generation of joint experiences with the communities involved in the project.
